John Murphy, Gallery A - Sydney, 1964-1983, exhibition catalogue, Cambelltown and Newcastle, exhibition catalogue, 2009, see 1966 exhibition calendar (unpaginated) for a related work illustrated on the cover of the artist’s show that year.

Note:

'Sydney Waterways' was the artist’s first solo show and consisted of paintings about sailing on Sydney Harbour. Some were more representational, employing collage elements of human figures and yachts, and others were more abstract – signalling the path the artist would pursue from there on.
