Catalogue number: 0

stainless steel

75.00 x 36.00 x 28.00

edition of 12

Note:

This is the third casting of this sculpture (each edition on a different scale) since its commission in 1978 by the Melbourne City Council for the newly built City Square. After widespread objection, the sculpture, still without a title but nicknamed the Yellow Peril, was controversially moved to Batman Park in 1980. In 2002 it was moved to ACCA (Australian Centre for Contemporary Art) where it remains to this day.
