Literature & references:

see West, Pearce and Klepac, Frank Hodgkinson (Beagle Press, 1994) p.41 for reference to the works shown in Paris in 1961 - “ … textured abstraction, hessian forms glued across and worked over with pigments into hot wax which he had then carved into.” The exhibition was by invitation and Hodgkinson was the only Australian artist selected.
